ping fixes for audio.weblogs.com

For other WordPress users that might be stuck on why you can’t get audio.weblogs.com to recognize your updates for podcasting here is the fix.

Assuming that you’ve actually installed the enclosure functionality from ippportunities.com. The current wp-rss2.php file doesn’t insert the language element into the RSS2 feed. You will need to implement that tag which is required for the audiorpc.weblogs.com/RPC2 interface.

It’s a simple hack that will now allow for pings to be accepted for audio.weblogs.com

This frustrated me for weeks… finally got the time to google this… here is the post that allowed me to fix it.

Hope this helps…

Honeymoon redux — Podcast #5

I’m back… here is the most recent show

Home Sweet Home..

First off… there WILL be a podcast tomorrow afternoon PST.

I had an awesome time for the past two weeks. I haven’t taken an extended break from work for almost 18 years, so I was a bit overdue. We spent 3 days in Santa Barbara, 6 days in San Francisco, 3 days in Napa Valley and our last night in Carmel at the Highland Inn.

My wife is a tremendous artist/painter and she’s a total pro on the camera, so we used film and as we have them developed I’ll upload some of the best ones for everyone to check out.

I really appreciate all the goodwill that everyone has sent me in email. It definitely warms my heart.

Anyways.. looking forward to getting the podcasts back on track and hopefully creating some awesome shows and watching this thing truly take off.

Halloween from SF

Sorry for the lack of updates but as you can imagine its been a very nice week of relaxation and travel. Had some mishaps along the way which has impacted my ability to do a show. I totally shattered my 17″ powerbook display on the very first day of our trip, OUCH!

Anyways… in San Francisco now and truly having spectatcular weather and a GREAT time. I’ve included a photo from my cellphone from above Fort Mason looking at the Golden Gate bridge. Just awesome. Hope to have a podcast in the next couple days as I work through my issues.

Fort Mason, SF
