Podcast car mobility option

I just found this little gem at Wal-Mart. The interesting thing is it’s something that I’d talked about months ago on my podcast. How hard would it be to add a USB Flash drive port on existing automotive CD players? A lot of them already have MP3 codec capabilities in them for MP3 CD’s. Well check this little bugger out… it’s an FM Transmitter/MP3 player that has no built in media but does have a USB slot.

It was around 30 bucks… I haven’t picked it up yet to check out but will do so sometime this week. Stay tuned.

[UPDATE]

I finally went down and picked one of these up and it works well. I’m in the Los Angeles area and have a fairly congested radio marketplace but I was able to pull in on a couple stations. I’ve had an iTrip for my iPod for awhile and this works a whole lot better for me. If you have a USB key fob drive just laying around this thing is worth the 29 bucks.

You can get more information here.

Two-for-One Stock Split

Not two days ago was I postulating that this was around the corner. It’s so historical.. I remember in the 80’s where they did the exact same thing… around 80 bucks a share and 2:1 split.

Two-for-One Stock Split: “Apple’s Board of Directors approved a two-for-one split of the Company’s common stock and a proportional increase in the number of Apple common shares authorized from 900 million to 1.8 billion. [Feb 11, 2005]“

Desktop Summit

I’m spending the day in San Diego at the Desktop Summit. I’ll be doing a podcast from here and should have it up by the end of the day.

Stargate SG-1 and and taking risk

I think it’s extremely rare when people rebuke conventional wisdom and create an entirely new future and legacy for themselves.

I just finished watching the 18th episode of this season’s SG-1 on SciFi Channel via Bittorrent and I have to say… BRAVO!

I am re-energized, re-engaged and totally at awe at how you ended this season. I have ALWAYS loved this series… you took a huge leap on this episode… you took risk.. and I am hopeful that everyone responds in kind…

Take this series to where it belongs… take it beyond what the stupid networks demand… take it to what the best of SCIFI is meant to be.

Damn, that you don’t get the recognition you deserve… and hopefully I can help with that in the coming weeks..

Take it to the next level in the next season….. again I say BRAVO. (update, I was informed that there are still two episodes left in this season.. woot!)

PS. Yes I am a freaking geek and please, please, keep this story line going!
