This is a pretty good presentation from Blaine Cook. Discovery in a social network is one critical component but the inference and cascade of relevant content associated with that connection has been ill defined to say the least.

Would love to see this discussion advanced in the standards arena.

Every Friday at 12:00 EST I take part on the VoIP Users Conference call via one of my many softphone applications. This is a great forum to discuss any questions or problems that you might have about VoIP. The first hour is primarily a discussion which usually has a vendor from some part of the VoIP ecosystem. The following hours.. and yes I said HOURS it’s pretty much geek talk from around the globe. You can get all the contact information for the call at the link above.

This is completely conjecture on my part but I do find it amusing that the alleged conversations that Steve Jobs and Eric Schmidt from Google had over coffee one morning on March 26th might just be about the next generation of iPhone.

The alleged quote overheard from the meeting from a bystander.

Hmmm, yes this could be about early leaks about the iPad but I’m thinking not. How about the realization that they lost a prototype iPhone HD and 8 days later it became very clear that it was going to find its way into the public.

Seems to me that this might be an obvious conversation with a former board member of Apple, a significant shareholder, business partner and yes, competitor, Google.

PuSH with incremental updates

I am a bit curious to see how Google Buzz will handle incremental updates to my blog page. So I will be updating this story to see if it spawns new posts in Buzz or updates the previous post in Buzz.

UPDATE: Just finished connecting my blog here to my Buzz and my Google profile. Now let’s see what happens to this post.

UPDATE 2: Very cool. Buzz is picking up the updated post and it updates the original message. This could become very useful for live event coverage without having to update the comments constantly which is what I’ve noticed others doing, specifically during SXSW.

Pretty sure PuSH happens to be the facilitator of this function from my wordpress install.

Watched the opening session from CUNY today regarding the state of news and newspapers today and what the business opportunity might be for the future. It was an excellent presentation given by @jeffjarvis and crew.
